2025 Fall Semester Miraero Scholarship (2nd Application Notice)

 

This notice applies to undergraduate students enrolled at the Sejong Campus.

 

1. Eligibility and Qualifications

A. Undergraduate students enrolled in the 2025 Fall semester who have confirmed income levels 0–8 through the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF).
(Including freshmen, transfer students, and re-admitted students)

1)         Students who did not apply for the National Scholarship or whose income level has not yet been confirmed may still apply.

However, at the time of selection in mid-August, students with unconfirmed income level or in levels 9–10 will be excluded.

2)         Regular enrolled students: within 8 semesters

3)         Double majors: up to 2 semesters recognized as within the regular study period

 

B. Basic livelihood security recipients: eligible for additional Miraero Living Expense Scholarship
Only those recognized under KOSAF standards (Second-lowest income bracket X)
(only livelihood and medical aid recipients qualify; housing/education aid recipients are excluded)

 

C. Students who applied in the 1st round do not need to reapply.

(Those not selected in the 1st round will automatically be reviewed during the 2nd round)

 

2. Application Period and Method

A. Application Period: October 1, 2025 (Wed) 10:00 – October 31, 2025 (Fri) 16:00

1)         Applications must be fully completed and submitted before the deadline

2)         Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted due to system errors

 

B. Application Method: Portal (KUPID) → Tuition/Scholarship → Scholarship Application → Apply for Miraero Scholarship (Sejong).
“Miraero Scholarship” (without Sejong) applies only to Seoul Campus. Incorrect applications will not be processed (applies to both 1st and 2nd rounds).
Students who mistakenly applied under “Miraero Scholarship” during the 1st round must reapply under “Miraero Scholarship (Sejong)” in the 2nd round.

 

C. Statement of Purpose

1)         Vision and Goals as a Scholarship Recipient

: Describe your personal vision and related goals, distinguishing between mid/long-term and short-term, and specify how you plan to achieve these goals during this semester.

2)         Need for Scholarship

: Explain how receiving this scholarship will help you achieve the short-term goals and plans described above.

 

3. Selection Criteria

A. Must have completed the screening and approval for 2025 Fall National Scholarship (Type I).

B. Must meet eligibility criteria for National Scholarship (Type I):

1)         Completed at least 12 credits in the previous semester

2)         Achieved at least 80 points out of 100 (GPA 2.5 or higher) (Includes F grades and withdrawn courses)

3)         Students in income level 0 (basic livelihood/ second-lowest income) may qualify with at least 70 points (GPA 1.5 or higher)

4)         Students who received the National Scholarship Type I under the C-grade warning policy are also eligible for the Miraero Scholarship

5)         Final-semester students are exempt from minimum credit requirements

6)         Students rejected from National Scholarship I solely due to exceeding maximum support semesters may still qualify if they meet other criteria

7)         Students with unconfirmed income level or in levels 9–10 will not be selected

8)         Freshmen, transfer, re-admitted, and disabled students are exempt from GPA/credit requirements.

9)         Applicants must write at least 150 characters for both parts of the application essay (Vision/Goals and Need).

No submission: excluded / Insincere written: “50% scholarship reduction”

 

4. Confirmation of Results and Scholarship Payment

A. Must have applied for National Scholarship (Type I) and received approval.

Income Level 0 (Second-lowest income bracket)

100% tuition (including National Scholarship)

100% tuition (including National Scholarship)

Income Levels 5–8

Determined each semester

 

5. Miraero Living Expense Scholarship

A. Eligibility: Students in income level 0 (basic livelihood recipients only, excluding second-lowest income bracket)

B. Amount: 1,800,000 won per semester

In KOSAF records, both basic livelihood recipients and near-poverty group are shown together. However, the university receives them separately.
Students uncertain about their status must confirm with KOSAF (1599-2000).

 

6. Scholarship Payment Schedule

A. Payment Period: December 2025
B. Payment Method: Deposited into student’s bank account or directly applied toward student loan repayment
