Guidelines for Strengthening Graduate Students’ Awareness of Rights and Roles and Administrative Support

On September 10, Korea University Sejong Campus held the ‘2025 RA / TA Orientation’ hosted by the Graduate Research & Education Team, at Nongshim Hall. The event was conducted in an online and offline hybrid format and attended by 104 graduate students in total.

The orientation was designed for graduate students appointed as RA/TA in the 2nd semester of 2025, and covered a variety of topics including the TA system and regulations, the new Progress Report policy, a guide to the graduate students’ charter of rights, and an introduction to the Graduate School Innovation Project.



The program aims to clarify administrative support related to assistant duties, strengthen graduate students’ understanding of their rights and responsibilities, and promote autonomous and proactive academic and professional development.

In a satisfaction survey conducted after the event, the overall satisfaction score was 4.54 out of 5, indicating strong approval. In the subcategories, responses were positive for: TA/RA system and regulations (4.51), Progress Report (4.26), rights charter guidance (4.43), graduate innovation project information (4.40), and new policy (4.06).

An official from the Graduate Research & Education Team stated, “We will institutionalize the RA/TA orientation so that graduate students can receive full systemic support, and we will continue to do our best in creating an environment where they can lead their research and academic activities.”
