
Korea University Sejong Campus received a donation of 1,000kg of Jongga kimchi from Daesang Corporation for the '1,000 Won Breakfast' program, which is operated to help students develop healthy eating habits and alleviate their economic burden.
This donation was facilitated by Professor Oh Gwangwook from the department of Global Business, Division of Convergence Business. Daesang is a company that has led the development of Korea's food culture across various sectors including Chungjungone, fermented sauces, seasonings, sauces, fresh foods, and processed convenience foods.
Yang Jiwoon, Vice President of Sejong Campus, stated, "We deeply appreciate Daesang Corporation for providing meaningful support so that students can have hearty and balanced breakfasts. We will actively support the '1,000 Won Breakfast' program so that it can establish itself as a representative student welfare program."
Relatedly, the '1,000 Won Breakfast' program is a representative student welfare program designed to provide nutritious meals at affordable prices to students who find it difficult to prepare breakfast due to rising prices and living conditions.
